Translator’s Profile
Louis Vorstermans was born in
the Netherlands and immigrated to Australia at the age of 22, after a college
education in mechanical engineering. A
natural gift for languages, combined with a strong formal education in English,
allowed him to assimilate quickly.
This led to a management career that saw his appointment as MD of
medium-sized subsidiary (based in Papua New Guinea) of a large multi-national group, at the early age of 29.
After two further appointments as CEO of companies, first in Sydney and then
in Melbourne, he has now settled permanently in Melbourne. He provides administrative, management and
advisory support to a large food producers lobby group, lectures in business, and regularly publishes in industry journals.
Louis successfully sat for the
N.A.A.T.I. accreditation exams in 1995 and completed a master’s degree in
Business Administration (MBA) in 1997. A perfectionist, who loves languages and linguistics, he takes pride in
producing work of the highest standard, and within the time-lines agreed with the
client.
